On the afternoon of January 9, 2023 at the headquarters of EcoBambu Eco-Bamboo Joint Stock Company, a “Signing Ceremony of Strategic Cooperation in the period of 2023-2043” took place between EcoBambu Eco-Bamboo Joint Stock Company (EcoBambu) and Indochina Sustainable Pellets Joint Stock Company (Indochina Sustainable Pellets).
Accordingly, from 2026 onwards:
• EcoBambu is expected to supply 100,000 tons/year of high biomass bamboo wood, equivalent to 1000 hectares of bamboo for timber for ISP to produce bamboo pellets. At the same time, EcoBambu will participate in technical consulting and provide high-biomass bamboo varieties for ISP’s planned raw material area in Khanh Hoa with an area of over 1500 hectares from 2023.
• Cooperation in research on biomass bamboo suitable for the production of wood pellets with product standards that meet strict standards from European and Japanese customers;
• Linking with cooperatives, organizations and groups of households to plant biomass bamboo material areas in district communes in Quang Ngai and Khanh Hoa;
• EcoBambu is responsible for providing high quality seedlings by tissue culture, cultivation and management methods that limit environmental damage and do not use pesticides banned from circulation according to regulations. regulations of the FSC; and in charge of harvesting the main products and by-products from the biomass bamboo forest;
• ISP will support EcoBambu and its associated partners to register, train and implement biomass bamboo afforestation in accordance with FSC standards as well as commit to annual consumption of all bamboo materials;
At the same time, solving the output problem for bamboo trees, helping bamboo growers have a stable income; From there, spread the benefits of converting inefficient crops to bamboo to bring sustainable values not only in terms of economy but also contribute to environmental protection.
Indochina Sustainable Pellets JSC is a biomass fuel producer in Vietnam. The company is building a wood pellet plant with a capacity of 150,000 tons/year in phase 1 in Khanh Hoa. Towards the goal of being a leading enterprise in the field of biomass energy, owning a closed value chain from sustainable plantation material areas according to FSC standards, to a chain of wood pellet factories and a system of 15-30MW biomass thermal power plant.
